Preparing for a move is an overwhelming task. Since my mom's passing in 2015, I have fretted about what to do with her doll collection. These dolls were precious to her and she often asked me what would happen to them. I assured her I'd do the right thing. Following several conversations with The McKinley Museum, the curator agreed to take them. My only request is that mention will be made that they are from the collection of Jan Smith when the dolls are displayed. Unfortunately, the museum already has several baby carriages from the late 1800's.My grandfather's buggy is among my mom's remaining possessions. It's large, I can't keep it and my cousins don't have the space either. Guess I'll call a few other museums!
